Aloha. I'm Roby Brown. I'm a dad, husband, Star Wars geek and a 51-year old Full-Time UGC Creator.
I've never fit into the corporate world. I was a complete failure in the "traditional 9-5" system.
In 2022, I was fired from a job that I disliked. While I was making content, I had a belittling supervisor and made the exact same video six times a week.

How long do I have access to the program & when does it start?

Can't I learn all of this on YouTube?
YouTube is a great learning resource, but it is terribly disorganized. You spend a lot of time searching for videos. You need to see if the video matches your skill level. Does the video answer all of the questions to have? If not, it's off to find yet another video. Plus, there's not much content creation videos that are aimed at people over 40. We have much different lives and life experiences than the people addressed in many UGC videos. I'm an old guy. I get you.
What equipment do I need before starting?
The great thing about UGC is that you only need a few things to get started - a phone, tripod, tripod phone mount, a light (either a ring light or a soft box) and a car phone holder.
You'll need a desktop/laptop for editing videos, writing e-mails, and creating your UGC portfolio. You CAN do that on your phone, but it's time consuming and I do not recommend it.
The editing app CapCut is free. However, all of the features we'll go over are on the Pro (paid) version.
As an alternative, there's Wondershare Filmora. Equally beginner friendly - AND powerful, this editing software is less expensive than CapCut.
There are some UGC styles that require additional equipment - podcast. It's not necessary to do this style of UGC video. However, knowing how to make them can land you more brand deals.
In the course, there are some websites that will be used to create your portfolio and locate brand e-mail addresses. There are free/trail options available.
